The Arts and Crafts of Oreshak

The village of Oreshak is located between the town of Troyan and the Troyan Monastery. This village is home to the National Fair of Arts and Crafts Exhibition Hall, where a large selection of the work of local artists is on display.

Inside the rather shoddy, unlit exhibition halls was a large selection of Bulgarian pottery, whose origins are in the Troyan region; ceramics, rugs, paintings, sculptures, carpets, bells, dolls, fabrics, and wood carvings.

The Oreshak complex also included a huge souvenir shop, where you can buy any sort of Bulgarian souvenir. Unfortunately, not too many tourists come to this center of local arts and crafts.
